Spend the day in the country, with the special people in your life, enjoying scrumptious food and good company.

The day will include a choice of two hands-on cooking experiences, either:

  • making cupcakes and basic icing techniques, perfect for mums and children between 8 and 13; or
  • kettle-braaied baby roast chicken, learn the secrets of preparing delicious free-range  chickens and cooking them on the kettle-braai,  aimed at children of 13 and above, and adults.

After the cooking experience, you will receive a picnic hamper of delicious mezza dishes,  farm-made bread, roast chicken, salad and dessert, to enjoy on our extensive verandah, on our lawns, or as a picnic in a secluded spot in our indigenous forest.

Included in the price is the cooking experience and a picnic hamper. The programme for the day is as follows:

  • 9:30am – Tea, coffee and home-made cake on arrival;
  • 10:00am – Introduction;
  • A practical demonstration, followed by your chosen cooking experience;
  • Enjoy the food you have prepared, as will as the picnic hamper.
