Budget Packages
“I just got an email from my client after yesterdays event and here are his exact words: “The cooking experience was wow!!! – the team had a wonderful time thank you.” I just wanted to send you both his feedback and say a massive thank you for making sure that our client had a fabulous time. They are quite a difficult client, so feedback like that is honestly like the best praise.” – Christine, Twyne.
We’re acutely aware of budget constraints that many companies are experiencing at the moment. We have looked very closely at costings and developed a selection of fun, pared-down menus. Each menu offers different combinations to match the theme for the day, and is Halaal Friendly. We have three menus to choose from, each menu offering a delicious 3 course meal – starter, main with 2 sides and a dessert. “Just wanted to say the guys had a ball on Saturday! The staff were great. I never knew a bunch of IT guys could enjoy and excell at cooking that much. The food was very good and everyone (especially the partners/spouses) enjoyed it tremendously. Thanks again for all your arrangements!” – Appsolve
Wickedfood Earth Country Cooking School is located on a sustainable working farm. Our main business is free-range pig farming and we’ve become a leader in this segment, teaching people around the country how to add value to veld-raised pork. Apart from training, over the last few years, Wickedfood Earth Farm has been cross-breeding various hardy breeds in an effort to breed the perfect free-range pig for South African conditions. Our pigs receive no growth stimulants or antibiotics. They take more than 3 times as long to reach slaughter weight compared to intensively-farmed animals. Not only do they have a much better quality of life, but we get a superior meat quality when slaughtered. Now for the first time we have enough cross-breeds to be able to serve the meat from this very unique free-range South African pig to a select public.
It is our passion to teach participants in our workshops and events about using the very best local, naturally grown, seasonal produce available from Wickedfood Earth Farm and surrounding small scale producers. All our meat is veld-raised, and completely free-range, using no routine antibiotics and growth hormones or stimulants. Our animals take, on average, twice as long to reach maturity as factory-farmed animals. We can handle groups from 8 to up to a maximum of 40. This is a ±6 hour programme, made up as follows:
- Start off with our chef taking you for a tour of the gardens, talking about growing and using different vegetables, sustainable farming, and food production;
- Mid-morning break to taste some of the unique sustainable products;
- From a basket of the freshest seasonal produce from the Wickedfood Earth farm gardens and surrounding small scale farms, our chef works together with the group to develop and cook a delicious 6-dish, 3 course menu; or
- Choose from one of our 4 menu options;
- To end, you sit down and enjoy the food prepared together.
We have over 200 programmes on offer including our ever popular Foods-of-the-World series. With enough planning we can also tailor a programme to your specific needs.
“Wow!!!!! We had an awesome time and to hear that from a bunch of techies, is no average accomplishment! Nice work! They are already talking about doing the same thing next year for team-build. It was such a nice change for go-carts. Thanks for all the help and patience. This team-build will be remembered and talked about for a while!” – Erica
