Well it’s that time of year again, a little down time for most and the prospect of some delicious festive food hopefully with friends and family.
Every year for the Christmas season, Wickedfood Earth Country Cooking School kitchens prepare a selection of festive artisanal cured and processed hams, cold meats, sausages, preserves and pickles, great Christmas presents or that something extra for the table more……
Apart from the products from the Country Cooking School kitchens we also have:
- Vegetable and herb seedlings – during the past few months we have been propagating a selection of herbs and vegetables for our own gardens around the school. We always plant a few extra and offer these on to those of you who want to plant a small vegetable garden with some more unusual vegetables, including 7 different tomatoes, 10 varieties of peppers and chilli, cape gooseberry, 2 varieties of tomatillo, purple sweet potato plants, and a lot more. - Garlic -The first of our Egyptian pink garlic, and a very limited quantity of other varieties have been harvested, cured and packaged. More….
Wickedfood Earth Country Cooking School will be open for order collections and to hand slice meats on Monday 17 December between 10:00 and 12:00 (or by prior appointment, please note for security reasons our gate is closed, call Cilla on 076 236-2345 to open). Please let us know by COB on Friday 14 December if you intend to visit.
Wickedfood Earth Country Cooking School will also be offering a light mezze lunch on Monday 17 December at 12:00 @ R150pp, booking essential.
At Wickedfood Earth Country Cooking School we have always been all about sustainable agriculture following organic principles as a farming philosophy. Unfortunately a lot of what is now passed off as organic is just a veiled disguise of mono agriculture by large scale factory farming.
