Spring is definitely here – all our fruit trees are in flower and bearing a late frost, it looks like our fruit season will be starting a month earlier than usual. This year, if quantities warrant, we will be offering you the opportunity of coming out to the farm and pick your own fruit, followed by a lunch. We will keep you posted as the fruit starts to ripen.
We have started planting our food gardens for the summer. So far we have planted out broccoli, cabbage, lettuce, cauliflower and spinach (all available as seedlings form your local nursery). In seed trays we have planted chilli, tomato, and eggplant, while we have planted spring onion and beans directly into the ground.
At both Wickedfood Cooking School in Sunninghill, and Wickedfood Earth Country Cooking School, we offer a selection of function possibilities. We work together with our clients to develop specialised events to suit both the occasion and their budgets. Whether it’s a team building cooking class, corporate function, spit braai or exclusive gourmet country meals, over the last 15 years, we have been tailor-making food-related end-of-year functions for our clients. For more information contact Cilla on 076 236-2345 or firstname.lastname@example.org
Without the generous support of our corporate clients and cooking workshops, the Wickedfood Earth Farm projects would not be viable. It is through these corporate events and workshops that we are able to generate funds for the on-going research work and food-related training that we do.
